Endodontics
Endodontics is the treatment of caries complications, usually inflammation or a disease of the tooth nerve system {root canals}. In cases where the damaged nerve is displaced, the remaining area is cleaned, and filled and tightend with root filling material.
Conditions of successful healing are the proper cleaning and filling of the root canals in order to avoid penetration by bacteria. Inflammation occurs mainly due to the penetration of bacteria at the source of caries.
Endodontics is a time consuming treatment, requiring patience on the part of the customer.
